About Me

Here you will find more about me, my education and my own personal style. This will help you to determine if we might be a good fit for each other.

Here is a summary of my educational background.

I have a BA in Psychology and a BS in Dietetics both from UC Davis. I also have an MA in Counseling Psychology from Notre Dame De Namur in Belmont. I have been practicing since 1998 and I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2005.

As far as my style goes, I believe in first making an accurate assessment of a client's needs. This will help to determine the best treatment. This is done in a safe, supportive and caring environment.

My preferred method of practice is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. This means I sit down with my clients and discuss their thoughts as thoughts generally cause our feelings and behaviors.

Sometimes I use homework assignments with my clients to help with the therapy process.
